The weather is changing quickly. Winter is right around the corner and with that comes the virus, cold and flu season. The key to avoiding illness is to build and maintain a strong immune system, NOW. I believe it is absolutely possible to stay well, even with all of these “bugs” around us!
How can we strengthen our immunity to battle these “bugs?”
Being proactive can definitely affect how often you become ill and the duration of that illness. If you are blind-sighted and do come down with a virus, it is crucial that you have a safe and healthy battle plan in place!
Do you know?
Sugar – one teaspoon of sugar pulls your immune system down for several hours and decreases your energy levels.
Fever – is your body’s natural, built in mechanism to fight a virus. Think twice before you take a fever reducer when you have a temperature, unless it is dangerously high. Isn’t it interesting that when you take your child to the doctor, they recommend Tylenol and popsicles that are loaded with sugar, artificial colors and ingredients?
